Restorative Yoga, Tueday at 5:15

supine baddha konasana:
D showed up to class complaining of indigestion. sounded like acid reflux, so I propped him up in the "pregnant" variation of the poses, creating more of an incline. he really liked this...so much that J (across the room) wanted to try the same set up with the bolster. i offered "pregnant" modifications throughout the class. this was fun and interesting.

supported supine baddha konasana with strap. two bolsters- 1 lengthwise under spine, and the other across the top (like a letter T). this creates a slight incline that feels quite nice and supportive. blankets under thighs and head. breath awareness.

childs pose with bolster

transition: leg extension

lounging buddha, aka side stretch over the bolster
both sides

elevated reclining twist with low back on bolster
this was an uncomfortable position for D's stomach. he was much happier in a forward spinal twist over 2 bolsters.
